This specialty Cat's Meow piece was created by the Calico Patch for the Calico Patch. The back reads, "Henderson Memorial Baptist Church, Farmington, Maine c. 1940. The original 1836 brick church was destroyed by the Great Fire of 1866. A kitchen fire destroyed the 1887 wooden replacement in 1938. Funds for the current building were raised by the sale of its bricks at 10 cents each and by the collection and sale of paper for recycling. Previously known as the First Baptist Church, it was renamed in 1946 to honor a former minister, Rev. Albert G. Henderson."
